Guidelines.

Changing your password

 

Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to current password (Your current password will be hidden).

  1. Enter your current password in the box which is at the top box of the 3 and headed 'Old Password'.
  2. Enter your new password in the box which is at the middle of the 3 and headed 'New Password'.
  3. Again enter your new password in the box which is at the bottom of the 3 and headed 'Confirm New Password'. This is just to make sure that you have entered your newpassword correctly.

 

To Save your password to your profile click on the link 'Save Password'

 

Changing your gender

 

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your current gender.
  2. There will be to options which you are able to click, 'Male' and 'Female' there are two small circle boxes for you to click.
  3. There is a box which requires you to enter a reason of why you need to change your gender, once filled in click on the 'Send Request' to submit your gender change to an administrator.

 

You should only only ever need to change your registered gender if you made a mistake upon registration.

Changing your date of birth

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your current entered date of birth.
  2. There will be 3 drop down boxes, left, middle and right, the left box is the Month, the middle box is the day and the right box is the year.
  3. You will be required to enter a explanation on why you need to change your current entered date of birth. Upon putting in your new date of birth and explaining why click on the link 'Send Request' to submit your date of birth change to an administrator. 

You should only only ever need to change your registered date of birth if you made a mistake upon registration.

Changing your user level

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your current user level.
  2. There will be a box with the 5 levels of events, you can then select your level rather is be novice, bronze, silver, gold or premier.
  3. Once you have chosen your level of event you can include a message which will be read by an administrator, in which you can state your claim of upgrade or just ask general questions.
  4. Once all the information is filled out you can now click on the link 'Send Request' this will send your request to an administrator who will then decide whether or not you are at the level of your request.

 

For your own safety the web site will only allow members to upgrade their user level by request.
You will be upgraded if the WGC administrators can see that you have entered the relevant events.

Changing your age group

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your curent age group.
  2. There will be a box with 3 age groups from which you are to choose from, choose one which is the more relevant to your age.
  3. Once you have chosen your age group, there is a box provided below for you to write a message to the administrator if you so wish to.
  4. Once all the information is chosen and correct click on the link 'Send Request' this will send your request to an administrator who will then decide whether or not you are at the correct age for the group you have selected.

For your own safety and fairness of competition, the web site will only allow members to change their age group by request

Your age group will be changed if the WGC administrators can see you are the correct age or older.

Changing your trainer

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your current trainer.
  2. There will be a table with all the different personal trainers in which yo are able to choose from. In the table there will be various informtion about the trainer for you to look at. Once you have made your decision on your trainer click on the link 'Choose Trainer' in the column which is headed 'Choose Trainer'.
  3. A pop-up will come up asking 'Are you sure you want to select this user to become your registered personal trainer?'. Click rather 'OK' to confirm your selection or 'Cancel' to cancel your selection and return to the selection page.

This will confirm your selection and a request will be sent to your selected personal trainer.

Changing your Country and region

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your current region2
  2. There is a box on the left of the screen which has a number of countries for you to select from, if your country is not one of the countries in the box, you can search for your country in the country search box which is located on the left side of the search box.3.
  3. Once your country is selected you can then select your region within the country, you can do this by selecting the region in the region box on the right of the page underneath the country select box. Once you have selected your country and region through the selection box click the link 'Select Location' to save your location to your profile. If you region is not in the box you can search for your region in the region search box.4.
  4. On entering your country and region through the search bar click the link 'Select Location' this will then forward you onto another page with the matched results which then requires you to click your location and then again click the link 'Select Location' to confirm your selection and save it to your profile.

Changing your gym

  1. Click on the 'change' link which is located on the right next to your current gym.
  2. Next click on the link 'Click here to find and notify your gym' which will be highlighted red this will take you to a list of gyms which are specific to your region.
  3. Click on the name of the gym you wish to join, this will then bring up a message on the right side of the page which will then ask you to confirm your selection.
  4. By confirming your selected gym a request will be send directly to that gym for you to join the selected gym.

Editing your profile

From your profile page, on the right from your user name will be a link 'Edit Details'. By clicking on this link, you will be taken to another page which lets you edit your profile.

This page lets you edit your personal profile,

Name

The top section of the page refers to your name.

  1. There are two name bars. One bar has 3 sections; this is for your real name being your first name, middle initial and your last name.
  2. The second bar is where you write your nickname. The nickname is for people who wish that their real name is not to be displayed and viewable on the website.
  3. There is two circle boxes which you need to tick - one to decide which name you will use for display purposes.

Your real name will be displayed by clicking the circle for real name - or nickname will be displayed if you wish this to be the case.

Address

There is a text box in which you should enter your address, and directly below the address box is another box headed 'Postcode/Zip' this is where you enter your postcode or zip code.

Address is for admin only and will not be displayed to other World Gym Challenge users

 

Registered Category

This is a drop down box which lets you pick the sport which you may take part in so you can get a reflection of times for that sport.

Height and weight

There are two boxes where you can fill in your height and weight details once filled in these figures will be displayed only on your personal profile.

Write up

The write up is a section where you can put details and facts about yourself, a brief write up of your interest's, hobbies and what you wish to achieve.

Be aware on what you write as the write up page will be viewable by other members of the website

Once you have completed your personal profile, or any changes have been made, click on the link which says 'Save Change' to save all your changes or details to your personal profile.

 

At the bottom of the page there are various offers and news which you are able to click on a tick box if you wish to receive offers and news from our website.

 

 

 

World Gym Challenge

Setting a Personal Challenge Guide Lines

 

After logging onto the World Gym Challenge web site follow these simple steps to create your own challenge:

 

1. Click on the 'Create your own challenge' link which is found in the blue column on the left of the home page.

 

2. Click on the link which states 'Click here to add a new event compilation' which can be found in the middle of the page.

 

3. Click on the drop down bar which is under the sub-title of 'Event' and choose the event in which you wish to challenge yourself to (see bottom for details on how to enter a non-listed event).

 

4. In the box which is under the sub-title of 'Compete To Specification (?)' state the details of your challenge and click the link 'Add This Entry' to add the event to your compilation (repeat this to add more then one challenge to your compilation if you wish). 

 

5. After entering all of the compilations, the challenge and details of the challenge, click on the 'Next Step' which will be highlighted red, this is to submit your challenge.

 

6. Directly under the specification of your challenge will be a box with the name of 'Name Of Compilation' this is where you will name you challenge e.g. Joe Blogg's Run Row Bike.

 

7. After entering your challenge and challenge details plus the naming of your challenge click on the 'Add Compilation Listing To Your Profile' link to save your challenge to your profile.

 

8. After clicking the 'Add Compilation Listing To Your Profile' link a pop-up box will appear stating 'Are you sure you have completed this compilation and wish to save it to your profile?' this is just to confirm that your challenge is filled in correctly and that nothing is missing before saving your challenge to your profile.

 

 

Entering a Non-listed event

 

1. Follow step 3 but in the drop down bar select the title 'Not-Listed Add New' and click on the link Next Step which is highlighted red.

 

2. Enter the name of the new non-listed even in the 'Event' box i.e. swimming.

 

3. Enter the type of training the Non-Listed event is in the 'Event Type' e.g. Cardio

 

4. Once steps 2 and 3 are complete click on the link 'Next Step' to submit your new challenge.

 

5. Next continue to follow steps 6 on to 8 to save your challenge to your profile.

 

The new non-listed event which you have entered will now be listed and selectable in the event drop down bar for future use.
